Rose had a diagnosis of Down Syndrome but didnt identify with the diagnosis. It got where, when she spoke about it, her mom Jenna would hear, Dancing Drum, a more apt description for who Rose became.

I just like doing my own characters because its more fun than real life people. I have a hard time with real life people because I dont know how they feel. But if you go to fantasy-land, you can se it all in your head. Its beautiful.
